Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde took a suburban train from Ghatkopar railway station to Dadar on Monday, May 18. A video shared on social media shows Tawde wearing a saree, standing on the accelerator with police personnel surrounding her. She was also seen waiting for a local crowded train.
Further in the video, initially, she was seen standing in a train compartment as she boarded an AC local train to reach Dadar railway station. She also saw chit-chatting with other passengers throughout her journey.

Meanwhile, Tawde did a surprise inspection to review the parking situation on Sudha Park Road in Ghatkopar, where there was alleged illegal parking on both sides. Police detained several individuals found drinking inside autorickshaws and demolished a shop allegedly linked to the sale of narcotic substances.
According to reports, illegal activities operating under the cover of parked vehicles, incidents of harassment of women and the sale of tobacco products, including gutka.
