A family dispute over a sister's marriage against the family's wishes escalated into violence, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to several others. The Chunabhatti police have registered an FIR under charges of murder and other related sections, arresting five people in connection with the case.
According to the information received from Chunabhatti police, the incident took place on the night of June 7 at around 8:30 PM. The complainant's uncle, Asif, went to Kurla to collect clothes from the house of his sister-in-law's brother. There, Salman, the brother of Asif's sister-in-law, attacked Asif with a stone, causing injuries.
Later, at around 1 AM, another altercation occurred, during which the complainant's uncle Arif and brothers Adnan and Imran were attacked with a knife, resulting in injuries to their abdomen and face. Adnan was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Arif Umar Khan, Imran Salim Qureshi, and Asif Umar Khan were also injured and are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
Following Adnan's death, the police registered an FIR under sections 302, 307, 326, 324, 323, 504, 506(2), 143, 144, 147, 148, 149, and 34 of the IPC. The arrested individuals include Aman Mohammad Shamim Khan (20), Mohammad Anas Yunus Shaikh (28), Sama Anas Shaikh (28), Sana Aman Khan (21), Shakeel Ahmed Babu Raza Shaikh (23), Husaina Bano Yunus Shaikh (49), and Salman Mohammad Shamim Shaikh. All the accused are in police custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
