A serious road accident involving a Toyota Fortuner took place on Malad Link Road near Infinity Mall, drawing attention after disturbing visuals surfaced online. The footage revealed the SUV in a severely damaged state, overturned with broken windows, indicating the intensity of the collision. Reports suggest that the vehicle suffered a sudden tyre failure while in motion, which caused the driver to lose control. The unexpected malfunction led to the crash, leaving the car badly wrecked. As of now, there has been no official update regarding the condition of the driver or whether any injuries were sustained in the incident.
In a separate incident reported recently, a Toyota Innova Crysta operating as a tourist vehicle was involved in an accident in Mumbai’s Juhu locality. According to visuals circulating on social media platforms, the vehicle, identified by its yellow number plate, lost control and ended up climbing onto a road divider. The exact cause of the mishap has not been confirmed yet, but the images raised concerns among residents about road safety and driving conditions. Fortunately, no major casualties were reported in this case, though the incident added to a series of alarming road mishaps in the city.
Earlier, on March 16, a tragic accident in Dahisar East claimed the life of a 28-year-old man after a dumper truck collided with his motorcycle. The impact caused the victim to fall beneath the rear wheel of the heavy vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries. He was immediately taken to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali West, where doctors declared him dead before admission. The deceased, Sameer Aslam Shaikh, a resident of Andheri West, worked as a delivery executive. The Dahisar Police arrested the truck driver, Akhabar Pathan, 43, a Thane resident, in connection with the incident.
