Mumbai Shocker: Food Delivery Man Arrested for Flashing Woman at Doorstep in Girgaun

A 29-year-old food delivery agent has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a 28-year-old woman in the Girgaum area of Mumbai on March 21st. The incident occurred when the woman opened her door to receive a food delivery order placed through a mobile application. According to the VP Road police, the accused, identified as Shahrukh Shaikh Mohammad Shaikh, dropped his pants and flashed the woman as she accepted the delivery. The distressed woman immediately informed her husband, who then confronted the delivery agent in the building's lobby while he waited for the lift.

A physical altercation ensued, but Shaikh managed to escape. The couple subsequently contacted the customer care department of the food delivery app to report the incident and were assured that action would be taken. However, after no action was forthcoming, they filed a formal First Information Report (FIR) at the VP Road police station. "Following the registration of the FIR, we initiated an investigation and identified the accused," a police officer stated. "On April 4th, we arrested Shahrukh Shaikh Mohammad Shaikh near Kennedy Bridge in the Gamdevi area. "Shaikh, a resident of Chembur, has been booked under Section 75 (sexual harassment) and other relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
