Mumbai University Winter 2025 Exams Rescheduled Again Due to Zilla Parishad Elections 2026 - Check Revised Schedule

The Winter 2025 exams of Mumbai University have been rescheduled again. The exams have been postponed because of the Zilla Parishad elections. Earlier, the exams were rescheduled due to the Municipal Corporation elections. The Mumbai University’s circular states, “A reference is invited to the Letter No. क्र.रानिआ/जिपपंस-२०२५/प्र.क्र.४८/का-७, दि. १३ जानेवारी, २०२६ of State Election Commission, Maharashtra. The Heads, University Departments, Director, Thane & Kalyan Sub Centre, the Director (CDOE), and the Principals of all the affiliated Colleges in all Faculty are hereby informed that the examinations (Winter 2025) were postponed due to the Election of Municipal Corporations and are furthered revised due to the Election of Zillah Parishad.” Students can check the revised timetable details issued by the authorities below.

Exam Time Remains The Same
The students who will be giving the exams must note that the dates have changed, but the timings of the exams will remain the same. The college principals and respective department heads should inform the students about the revised dates as soon as possible.

The University of Mumbai, formerly known as the University of Bombay, is among India’s oldest and most prestigious universities. Established in 1857 following Wood’s Education Dispatch, it was one of the first three universities set up in the country. After the city’s name changed from Bombay to Mumbai, the institution was officially renamed the University of Mumbai through a Government of Maharashtra notification published in the Government Gazette on September 4, 1996. The university received a 5-star status in 2001 and was later awarded an ‘A++’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in April 2017.
