Excessive heat conditions along with poor air quality has made uncomfortable across several parts of the city. As per the real time data from air quality monitoring platform air Quality Index of 183 on Sunday morning, placing the city in the unhealthy category.
Mumbai recorded 31°C in the morning, with weather forecasts suggesting that the mercury may rise to nearly 32°C during the day. Air quality indicators reveal elevated levels of particulate matter: PM2.5 at 103 µg/m³ and PM10 at 119 µg/m³. Other pollutants present include carbon monoxide (491 ppb), nitrogen dioxide (27 ppb), sulphur dioxide (3 ppb), and ozone (12 ppb).
