The tournaemnt will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at 6 pm. Avinash Thackre, Vice President of the tournament's reception committee, said in a press conference on Thursday that actor Swapnil Joshi will be present at the inaugural ceremony. On this occasion, Nagpur Municipal Corporation Sports Officer Dr. Piyush Ambulkar, Public Relations Officer Manish Soni, Competition Coordinator Ritesh Gawande, Sanjay Pawanikar, Dhananjay Wadekar, Bhushan Kesarkar, Srikant Duchakke, Ramesh Bhandari and others were present. Thakre said, "The matches will be played from 7 am to 10 am and 5 pm to 10 pm. On March 1, union Minister Nitin Gadkari will visit the competition and encourage the players."

He said that 20 men's teams and 16 women's teams will participate in the competition, which will include many players from the country and Pro Kabaddi League. This competition, which has received permission from the All India Kabaddi Federation, is being organsed under the guidance of the Nagpur District Kabaddi Association. The winning team in the men's category will be awarded Rs 2,51,000 while the women's champion team will receive a prize of Rs 1,51,000.

74 players will be honoured under 'Udaan'

To encourage the excellent performance of national and international level players in the municipal area and to provide assistance to the players who win medals at international, national competition, junior and senior level, 'Udaan Khel Protsahan Yojana' has been started on the initiative of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary. Under this scheme, the Municipal Corporation received a total of 236 applications, out of which 74 applications were eligible. These 74 eligible beneficiaries will be provided financial assistance of a total of Rs 57 lakh 89 thousand by the Chief Minister in the All India Invitation Kabaddi Competition.
