Nagpur, April 29

The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court has asked the government about the backlog of Remdesivir injection in the state. The court has directed the government to give information about it by Friday.

A hearing was held before Justice Sunil Shukre and Avinash Gharote. During this time, it was informed that the Central Government has increased the allocation of the State’s Remdesivir quota. According to the order issued on April 24, the MRP of injection of seven manufacturing companies was also fixed.

Under the quota fixed for Maharashtra, it was mandatory to give 4,35,000 Remdesivir by April 30. The state government has alleged that the manufacturing companies did not supply as per the orders of the Central government. The court issued this order on this basis.

Companies to be held responsible

The nodal officer has issued an order to distribute Remdesivir district-wise. The production company may be held responsible for this. The court might issue orders in this regard to the companies and action can be taken if required.
