IA & AD West Zone football tourney from tomorrow

Divisional Railway Manager, S.E.C. Railway, Nagpur Deepak Kumar Gupta will inaugurate the tournament on 9th at 9.00 am. Hosts and defending champions, AG Maharashtra along with AG Gujarat, AG Chhattisgarh, AG Madhya Pradesh and AG Rajasthan are the five teams participating in the tournament and will vie for the top honors during these five days.AG Madhya Pradesh was the Runners, in IA & AD West Zone Tournament 2025.

The winner and runner teams will qualify for the IA &AD Inter Zonal Football tournament which is slated to be held in Kolkata from March 23 to 27 where they will meet the winners and runners of North, East and South Zones.

All the matches will be of 90 minutes duration and will be played on Round-Robin basis. Out of total ten matches, two matches each will be played on all the five days. In each match, three points will be awarded to the winning team, 1 point each for a tie, while 0 point for loosing team. The team achieving the highest points will be declared the winners while next team will be declared the Runners.

Departmental Referees nominated by Head Quarters for the Tournament are Andrew Shekhar (of PAG, Karnataka), Irfanulla Khan (of PAG, Karnataka) and T David Prasanna Kumar (of PAG, Telangana), while R Johnson (of PAG, Tamil Nadu) and Satish Kumar Bagga (of PAG, New Delhi) are the selectors.

Accommodation of all the teams, Managers and Referees has been arranged at Hotel Tuli International, Sadar, Nagpur. Various committees have been formed for smooth conduct of the tournament. All the matches will be streamed live, so that every official employed under Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and their families and friends can witness the matches live from their state itself or even later, as the match will be available on You Tube channel anytime.
