The Nagpur Metro Rail project of Maha Metro has been working successfully and would be completing six years on February 18.

Foundation Day celebrations will be held in the Goonj Hall at Metro Bhawan. It is worth noting that Bhoomi Pujan of Nagpur Metro Project took place on 21 August 2014 and construction work of Metro Rail Project started in Nagpur city from 2015. The period from 2015 to 2021 has proved to be a milestone for the Nagpur Metro Rail project of Maha Metro. Maha Metro is expected to start passenger service on Central Avenue and Kamptee Road by December 2021. Metro is getting good response on Sitabuldi Interchange to Khapri and Sitabuldi Interchange to Lokmanya Nagar. The second phase of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project has also been announced in the recently announced union Budget. The second phase is 43.8 km long and consists of 32 metro stations.
