\SVidarbha oranges are in demand all over the country.

Hence with a view to providing monetary benefit to the Vidarbha farmers, the Nagpur Division of Central Railway would run Kisan Railway from the winter capital of Maharashtra to the national capital. The first Kisan Railway would run from Nagpur to New Delhi on October 14, sources informed.

A meeting of orange producers from Vidarbha to discuss this issue was held on Saturday in which a large number of these producers from Vidarbha concurred with the need to start such a train from Nagpur to New Delhi and send their produce on board the freight train to various parts of India.

Sources said Kisan Railway would provide good opportunity to Vidarbha farmers to send their produce beyond Vidarbha- to various parts of India at competitive prices and earn good income.

Senior officers of the Railways were also present at the meeting, sources informed.
