Shiva Iyer, T Chandran and Shraddha emerged best in their respective categories in SN Shrivastava & Kalavatidevi Shrivastava Memorial Rapid Chess Tournament conducted by Nagpur District Chess Association (NDCA) on virtual platform

While Iyer triumphed with eight points. Bodkhe achieved second place with seven points. Sumesh Ramteke and Kaustav Barat finished third and fourth respectivley .

Among the veterans T Chandran (5.5), YM Shamkuwar (4) and K Laha (4) excelled. In the girls section, Shraddha Bajaj (5) was declared best followed by Vidhi Mishrikotkar and Lakshita Rathod (4).

Total 48 players participated in the tournament. In all 8 rounds were played. The time control of ten minutes with five second increament was given to each playyer. Top 12 players, top three veterans and top three girls received cash prizes. Total prize fund for the tournament was Rs 5000. The tournament wass conducted under the supervision of IA Pravin Pantawane and FA Umesh Panbude.

6. Dishank Bajaj (5.5). 7. Krupal Wanjari (5.5). 8 Chetan Deodhagale (5.50 9. Nilay Kulkarni (5.5). 10. Shivansh Rajurkar (5.5). 11 Akshay Patil (5), 12 Aryan Deogade (5).

Best Veteran: 1. T Chandran (5.5), 2. Y M Shamkuwar (4), 3 S K Laha (4).

Best Girls: 1. Shraddha Bajaj (5), 2. Vidhi Mishrikotkar (4), 3. Lakshita Rathod (4).
