Nashik: Six robbers allegedly came on bikes and stormed a jewellery shop, opened fire, assaulted employees before fleeing with ornaments. This theft incident reportedly occurred on Friday May 16 night around 9pm in Hirawadi area at New Samruddhi Jewellers under the jurisdiction of Panchvati Police Station.
The CCTV footage of this theft caught on camera, which shows the exact series of theft and has gone viral social media. As staff prepared to close, six armed men on three motorcycles stormed into a shop. Inside were shop owner Nayana Pagaria, a female employee, and staff member Amit Shrimali.
The armed men allegedly pointed pistols at the trio, threatening to shoot them if they resisted. Pagaria confronted the robbers despite the threat. During the robbery, one of the accused opened fire, causing chaos. Shrimali attempted to subdue the robbers but was brutally assaulted, repeatedly struck on the head with a pistol butt. Seriously injured and suffering severe head trauma, Shrimali was rushed to a nearby hospital and remains in intensive care.
Jeweller Pagaria recounted resisting armed robbers who stormed her shop just before closing, firing a shot as they demanded jewellery. Despite the gunfire, Pagaria and her colleague Shrimali fought back, throwing objects and shouting, which made the robbers nervous. They fled with some jewellery boxes. Police arrived quickly and detained two suspects for questioning, with efforts ongoing to find the remaining individuals.
