AAP Removes Raghav Chadha as Rajya Sabha Deputy Leader, Appoints Ashok Mittal
For the past few days, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha has been widely discussed on social media for raising various public interest issues. However, even as his popularity grows, the party has taken major action against him.
Raghav Chadha has been removed from the post of Deputy Leader of the AAP in the Rajya Sabha. The party has written to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, appointing Ashok Mittal as the new Deputy Leader in his place.
According to sources, the AAP has also requested that Raghav Chadha not be given extended speaking time in the Rajya Sabha. In recent months, he has frequently raised issues in the House, ranging from high prices at airports to concerns related to delivery workers, which contributed to his rising popularity.
The party has not officially stated the reason behind the action. However, sources suggest it may be linked to alleged breaches of party discipline and deviation from the party’s official stand. It is also being speculated that his silence following the acquittal of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia may have been a factor.
