The Election Commission on Saturday, March 15, announced the schedule for assembly polls in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Elections will be held in Odisha on May 13, Andhra Pradesh on May 19, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim on the same date, that is, on April 19.

The counting of votes will take place on June, along with Lok Sabha Election results in all the states. The announcement of poll dates was made by Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar, along with Newly appointed election commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu at a press conference here held at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi today. Of the four states, polling the Model Code of Conduct has come into force with the announcement of poll dates.

Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2024 Dates:

The Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh would be held on May 13, the Election Commission of India announced on Saturday. The Gazette notification will be issued on March 20, 2024 with nominations ending on April 25, 2024. The counting of votes will on June 4. In this southern state, a majority of 88 seats is required for a party to form a government.

Odisha Assembly Elections 2024 Dates:

Odisha Assembly elections will be held in four phases: 13 May, 20 May, 25 May, and 1 June. Votes will be counted on 4 June. The state has 21 Lok Sabha constituencies, 13 of which are unreserved and the rest reserved for SC and ST categories.

Sikkim Assembly Elections 2024 Dates:

The Assembly elections in Sikkim would be held on April 19. The Gazette notification will be issued on March 20 with nominations ending on March 27, 2024. The counting of votes would be done on June 4. The Sikkim Assembly constitutes of 32 seats. To form the government, a party will be required at least 17 seats.

Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2024 Dates:

The assembly elections for Arunachal Pradesh will be conducted on April 19 and votes will be counted on June 4 for the 60 assembly constituencies, the election commission announced on Saturday. The last date for making nominations has been set as March 27, while the last date for withdrawal of candidatures has been set as April 19.
