Chhattisgarh Horror: 5-Year-Old Kidnapped and Assaulted in Durg, Accused Arrested

In disturbing turn of event a five-year-old girl was Kidnapped and raped by man in  Chhattisgarh's Durg district. After doing this heinous act he allegedly put her in a sack and dumped her near a well in Chhattisgarh. This incident took place on Friday April 10, 2026 in Utai police station limit, when she was returning home from school, went to nearby shop to buy chocolates. 

Accused Dhaneshwar Sahu , who was present at the shop, lured the child to his house on the pretext of giving her chocolates.  After the girl's went missing , family and villagers searched for her. Two hours later, youths discovered her gagged with a pillow cover inside a sack near a well. She was in shock. A medical examination confirmed rape, and the accused was arrested, according to SDOP Anoop Lakra. The girl is now stable.

An FSL team collected evidence from the scene, Lakra said. The incident triggered protests, with villagers demanding capital punishment outside the police station. Police calmed the crowd, and the investigation is ongoing, Lakra add
