Delhi Assembly, Metro Receive Bomb Threat Ahead of Budget Presentation
The Delhi Legislative Assembly received a bomb threat on Tuesday, March 24, according to the news agency IANS. It is reported that the email states that the Assembly will be blown up. Meanwhile, the Delhi Metro station near the Assembly was also threatened with a bomb attack.

The threatening email was reportedly received on Speaker Vijender Gupta's email at 7:49 AM, while a similar threatening email was sent to the Assembly's official email at 7:28 AM. The email mentioned names, including LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, as well as Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Security has been tightened. Investigation is underway.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta received a bomb threat mail, which threatened that the Assembly building as well as the Vidhan Sabha Delhi Metro Station would be blown up. The mail also contained threats to Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, PM Modi, HM Amit Shah, EAM Dr S Jaishankar, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, said the Office of Delhi Assembly Speaker.
