Delhi Murder Case: Class 7 Student Brutally Killed by Stepfather in Shastri Park; Police Probe Underway
A shocking and deeply disturbing incident has emerged from Shastri Park in Northeast Delhi, where a 12-year-old Class 7 student was brutally murdered, allegedly by his stepfather. According to police sources, the accused attacked the child with a weapon, subjected him to severe torture, and inflicted multiple injuries on his body. The brutality of the crime was such that the accused even attempted to gouge out the child’s eyes. After committing the murder, the accused reportedly informed the child’s mother and a few others about the act and sent photographs and videos as proof. The incident sent shockwaves through the locality and prompted immediate police action.
Delhi Police stated that they received information about the murder at around 9:50 am, following which a police team rushed to the Shastri Park Chowk Loop area. There, they found the child lying unconscious. He was immediately shifted to JPC Hospital for medical treatment, but doctors declared him brought dead. The police later sent the body to the Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Crime and forensic teams were deployed at the scene to examine the area and collect crucial evidence related to the case. The police have detained suspects for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
The child’s mother, Mumtaz, narrated the events leading up to the incident and claimed that the accused had threatened her earlier. She said the stepfather told her to come to him or else he would kill her child. Mumtaz stated that she did not take the threat seriously and believed he was lying. She further alleged that after the children went to school, the accused took her son from there and killed him. According to her statement, the accused later confessed to the crime himself and informed her about what he had done. Speaking with journalists, Mumtaz said, "He told me Come here or I will kill your child. I thought he was lying. The children went to school, and he took the child from there and killed him."
