India is currently dealing with a devastating second Covid-19 wave that has swept through the nation, crushing the country's health infrastructure and overburdening frontline medical workers.

The number of corona victims and the death toll is increasing day by day. Various measures are being taken to prevent corona infection. It is important to wear a mask when you go out to prevent infection. Masks have been made mandatory in many places and fines have been levied for not wearing. Wearing a mask is very important for safety. Masks are in great demand in this crisis of corona. But in the meantime, a message is going viral on social media. A message that the mask reduces the oxygen level in the body is currently going viral on social media.

A message that the mask reduces the oxygen level in the body is currently going viral on social media. It states that "man needs 550 liters of oxygen per day, which is met through the supply of naturally occurring oxygen.But now with the mask we can take only 250 to 300 liters of oxygen. Prolonged exposure to face masks increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the body and lowers oxygen levels.Therefore, constant use of masks can be dangerous. Constant use of masks can lead to serious problems, "it said.

This message has created an atmosphere of fear and confusion among the people. 

Press Information Bureau (PIB) conducted a fact check on this message and found out that the claim is FALSE. It is FALSE claim.
