Fire breaks out in Bengaluru’s café pub, man jumped from the top floor to rescue his life
A shocking incident has taken place where a person jumped from the terrace of a building to save his life after a fire broke out in a four-storied building. A fire broke out at the Mud Pipe café restaurant cum pub on the fourth upper floor of a multi-storied building in Koramangala at 11:40 a.m. today. The floor was seen to emit heavy smoke when the upper floor of the restaurant exploded and caught fire. The fire spread to the neighbouring buildings, burnt materials exploded and fell on the grass and five or six two-wheelers were burnt. The staff in the restaurant immediately came out. A person who was on the floor jumped down and saved his life and got injured and was admitted by the locals to St John's Hospital for treatment. His condition is critical. No casualties occurred. The Nexa Maruti car showroom is located in the basement and first floor of this building. A restaurant was run on the fourth floor. Locals shot a video of it.
The building caught fire due to the cylinder blast and the shop on top of the building was completely gutted. After the fire accident, 6 to 8 fire tenders rushed to the place. Firefighters struggled to control the fire. 5-6 cylinders were placed on top of the building. The situation was impossible to move even near the building, the locals were worried that the fire would spread to the neighbouring buildings, and the firemen tried to control the fire with persistent efforts. As there was no one in the building of the pub, there was no danger to life, but there was a huge loss and the Koramangala police rushed to the spot, conducted an investigation, registered a case, and started further investigation. Due to the fire, the furniture of the restaurant was burnt on the upper floor of the building. It is suspected that the fire may have started due to gas leakage or a short circuit. Police are investigating.
