Hanuman Jayanti is a Hindu religious festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Sri Hanuman.This festival is celebrated on different days in different parts of India.In most states of India, the festival is observed either in Chaitra or in Vaishakha, while in a few states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu, it is celebrated in Dhanu (called Margazhi in Tamil). Hanuman Janam-Utsav is an important festival of the Hindus. Lord Hanuman is an ardent devotee of Lord Sri Rama and is widely known for his unflinching devotion to Sri Rama. Hanuman is the symbol of strength and energy.Hanuman Jayanti 2020 Mahurat: According to Drikpanchang this year, Hanuman Jayanti falls on Chaitra Purnima, Wednesday, April 8, 2020. The Purnima Tithi will start at 12.07 PM on April 7 and will end at 8.04 AM.

Know the Puja Vidhi: On this day devotees perform puja by offering vermilion or red cloth, with flowers like marigold, rose and offer laddu, halwa, banana as prasad, visit temple, carry out processions and religious gatherings. But this year is different, amid coronavirus lockdown, no processions will be carried out and no religious gatherings are going to take place.
