Jail to Jaimala in Alwar: Two Convicted Murders Set to Marry After Finding Love Behind Bars
A relationship that began behind prison walls is now set to culminate in marriage, in a story that feels stranger than fiction. Priya Seth, alias Neha Seth, convicted of murder, and Hanuman Prasad, jailed for killing five people, are scheduled to wed in Barodamev village of Rajasthan’s Alwar district. The couple met while lodged in the Sanganer Open Jail and developed a bond over the past six months. Granting special permission, the Rajasthan High Court approved a 15-day emergency parole to both prisoners, allowing them to step out of jail custody to solemnise their marriage today under police supervision.
Priya Seth, once known as a model, is serving a life sentence for the murder of Dushyant Sharma, a young man she connected with through a dating application. The crime dates back to May 2018, when she allegedly plotted Sharma’s kidnapping for ransom to help her then-lover, Dikshant Kamra, clear mounting debts. After luring Sharma to a rented flat in Jaipur’s Bajaj Nagar, she demanded ₹10 lakh from his family. Although ₹3 lakh was transferred, fears that Sharma could expose them led to a far more brutal outcome.

Investigators revealed that Seth, Kamra, and his friend Lakshya Walia decided to kill Sharma to eliminate any risk of arrest. Sharma was stabbed multiple times, with injuries deliberately inflicted on his face to hinder identification. The trio packed the body into a suitcase and dumped it in the Aamer hills, later cleaning the flat thoroughly to erase evidence. Sharma’s body was recovered the following night, triggering an investigation that led police back to the Bajaj Nagar apartment. All three accused were arrested soon after and later convicted for the crime.
Hanuman Prasad, Seth’s soon-to-be husband, is imprisoned for one of Alwar’s most horrifying murder cases. In October 2017, he killed his girlfriend Santosh’s husband, Banwari Lal, after being summoned to their home. Santosh, a taekwondo player older than Prasad, allegedly orchestrated the crime. When her three children and a nephew woke up and witnessed the killing, she reportedly ordered that they too be murdered. Prasad carried out the killings, leaving four children and one adult dead, a massacre that stunned the entire region.
