As a result, Soren has decided to join the BJP, aligning himself with a party he feels is better equipped to safeguard the interests of Jharkhand's indigenous communities.

The court, reviewing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Daniel Danish, found the affidavits submitted by Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police from six districts in the Santhal Pargana region to be insufficiently detailed. This raised doubts about the adequacy of the Hemant Soren government’s efforts to address these critical issues.
