A pack of dogs attack a six-year-old girl in Karnataka's Vijayapura district, in which she suffered Karnataka's Vijayapura district. Video of this incident has circulated on social media, creating a safety concern. This incident occurred on Wednesday, February 19,2026 morning.
Victim identified as Anvita Mallikarjuna Shetty suffered a injury to left eye. CCTV footage show a girl holding a plastic bag in her hand visiting shop. She hands over the bag to the shopkeeper who is not seen in the video. As the girl turned, a dog startled her. She ran toward her home, but the dog gave chase, pulling her frock and knocking her down.
A dog charged at Anvita, and within seconds, she was surrounded by at least six dogs as she lay on the ground. Hearing her screams, a woman from a nearby shop chased the dogs away, and locals quickly came to the girl's aid. Anvita sustained injuries to her eye, hand, legs, and back, with a severe injury to her left eye, and was admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
