Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (April 14, 2025): A major fire broke out at Lok Bandhu Hospital in Lucknow on Monday evening. The fire occurred on the second floor of the hospital, with thick smoke visible throughout the building. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit in an air conditioner. Several patients are reported to be trapped in the fire, and a rescue operation is underway to evacuate them from the building. However, the spread of smoke in some parts of the hospital has intensified the situation.

As per Dy CM Brajesh Pathak, around 200 patients have been safely shifted to nearby hospitals and there are no injuries or casualties reported. "A fire broke out in Lokbandhu Hospital. All 200 patients were safely shifted. There has been no case of casualty or injury. Fire officials are currently inside the building and trying to control the fire," he said.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the fire incident, and senior officials have reached the spot to oversee the situation. Fire brigade teams are actively working to douse the flames. Further details are awaited as the relief operations continue.
