Mother kills her child to elope with lover

A two-and-a-half year-old boy was found dead in a compartment inside the bed of his parents in Burail, a village near Chandigarh. The victim's father has accused his wife of stuffing the boy in the bed to elope with her lover. Dashrath, the father of the victim, who is an electrician by profession, found his wife and child missing when he returned home from work. He was under the impression that his wife and child had gone to his in-laws house but when he contacted his wife she allegedly told him that the boy was inside the compartment.

According to police, a glove was stuffed in the boy's mouth to gag him and when the child's father opened the bed box he found his son. Later he contacted the police accusing her of murdering the child and having eloped with her lover.  A case of murder has been registered aganist the child's mother at Sector 34 police station and the case is under investigation. The police is currently searching for the mother who has since gone missing after the incident.
