Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). The Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Azad confirmed on Twitter that he has contracted the viral disease and also requested people who came in contact with him in the last few days to follow Covid-19 safety protocol. 

Earlier, senior Congress leaders Ahmed Patel, Motilal Vora and Abhishek Singhvi had tested positive for COVID-19. While Singhvi has recovered, the others are still under treatment. Azad is among the 20 star campaigners of the party for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
