Srikakulam Accident Video: Mother, Son Dies As Speeding Bike Crashes Into Parked Truck On Kolkata–Chennai Highway

Speeding continues to be a major cause of road accidents, often ignored by drivers despite repeated warnings. In a similar incident in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, two people lost their lives due to speeding. The horrific accident was captured on CCTV, showing how the tragedy unfolded within seconds.

A mother and her son died after their speeding motorcycle crashed into a parked truck. The son was riding the bike, while his mother was seated pillion. Due to the high speed, they failed to notice a truck parked ahead. The motorcycle collided with the vehicle, throwing both riders onto the road. They died on the spot.

The incident occurred on the busy NH-16 (Kolkata–Chennai Highway) near Arinam Akkivalasa in Chilakapalem, Srikakulam district. The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Narendra Kumar and his 59-year-old mother, Nagamani, both residents of Visakhapatnam. Police said the motorcycle was travelling at a very high speed and the rider lost control before crashing into the lorry parked on the roadside.

Preliminary investigation suggests that overspeeding was the primary cause of the accident. Police have registered a case and launched a detailed probe.
