Vallabh Maheshwari Dies: Jaipur Industrialist Killed After BMW Crashes on Delhi–Mumbai Expressway in Alwar
A prominent industrialist from Jaipur died after his luxury BMW car crashed on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Alwar district. The accident occurred when the high-speed vehicle reportedly went out of control and hit the wall of a bridge, leaving the car badly damaged. The victim, Vallabh Maheshwari, chairman of the Shakun Group, was travelling from Jaipur to Badaudamev when the accident took place within the limits of the Reni police station area in Alwar district. His BMW, reportedly worth around Rs 2 crore, was severely crushed in the collision.
According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the car due to high speed, causing it to crash directly into the bridge wall along the roadside. The impact was so strong that the vehicle was almost completely destroyed. Maheshwari suffered serious injuries in the crash, while the driver sustained minor injuries. The loud sound of the collision alerted people nearby, who rushed to the scene and informed the local administration and the expressway control room.

A patrol team and an ambulance soon arrived at the spot. Due to the severe damage to the vehicle, rescue teams had to work for several hours to pull the victims out of the wreckage. Both were taken to a hospital in Pinan for initial treatment. Maheshwari was later shifted to a private hospital in Alwar as his condition was critical. However, doctors were unable to save him and he was declared dead shortly after being admitted. Police have inspected the accident site and started an investigation into the incident.
The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is considered one of the most modern and fastest highways in India. However, experts say the long and straight stretches of the road often encourage high-speed driving, increasing the risk of accidents. Vallabh Maheshwari was the chairman of the Shakun Group, which was established in 2000 and is known for its work in resource processing and industrial operations. His death has come as a shock to the industrial community in Jaipur.
