India is currently dealing with a devastating second Covid-19 wave that has swept through the nation, crushing the country's health infrastructure and overburdening frontline medical workers. The number of coronavirus cases in the country is increasing day by day.

Despite the growing number of covid cases acros the country, citizens are still not following covid protocols. The number of deaths due to corona is increasing day by day in Gujarat. But in Ahmedabad, on the other hand, hundreds of women have taken to the streets for a religious function.

Hundreds of women had gathered at a temple in the Sanand area of ​​Ahmedabad carrying pots on their heads for a religious ceremony. The video of the ceremony has gone viral on social media.

The video shows hundreds of women gathered together, not wearing masks. As soon as the video of the incident went viral, the police took action. Despite COVID restrictions, women in large numbers gathered at Navapura village in Sanand, Ahmedabad district to offer prayers at the Baliyadev temple on Tuesday.  Police has taken action  against 23 people including the Sarpanch of the village for organizing the program, said KT Kamaria, DySP, Ahmedabad Rural.
