After strangling Shraddha, Aftab Poonwala cut her body into 35 pieces and kept it in the fridge. Also these pieces were thrown one by one in the forest of Mehroli area of Delhi. The repercussions of this case are seen across the country.
Two years ago, Shraddha expressed her fear of death. She knew the true face of her lover Aftab. Aftab used to fight with her everyday. He also threatened Shraddha that he would cut her into pieces. Shraddha also filed a police complaint in November 2020.
But before the police could take any action against Aftab, Shraddha withdrew her complaint. This mistake was fatal for Shraddha. Aftab did not change, he killed Shraddha on 18 May 2022. After this he cut Shraddha into 35 pieces. Before that, Shraddha spent two years.
Shraddha had filed a complaint at Tulinj police station located at Nalasopara in Palghar district. Shraddha had said in her complaint that Aftab used to abuse and beat her. He tried to kill me. Shall cut my body to pieces.
