Agneepath Scheme: Know the difference between the salaries of regular soldiers and Agniveer Soldier

The Agneepath scheme is being hotly debated in the country. Some are calling it a wrong move by the central government while others are looking at it positively. What is the difference between the salaries of firefighters and regular soldiers in the Agneepath scheme?

How much will the firefighters get paid? - Every firefighter will get a salary of 30,000 months in the first year of recruitment. Agniveer's salary will be Rs 33,000 in the second year, Rs 36,500 in the third year and Rs 40,000 in the fourth year.

70% of this amount will be paid as salary. The remaining 30 per cent will be deposited in the Agniveer Corps Fund i.e. Service Fund package. This means that in the first year, the firefighters will get Rs 21,000 per month in cash. 23,100 in second year, 25 in third year.

The total savings from the pay cut in four years will be around Rs 5.02 lakh. The government will also contribute the same amount to this fund. That means there will be a double benefit like PF. You will also get interest on this amount. In four years, the government's contribution, including savings and salary cuts, will be around Rs 11.71 lakh.

What is the salary rule of regular soldiers? - At present, salaries and other facilities are provided in the army from officers to soldiers under the Seventh Pay Commission. There are more than 17 types of posts in the army. They have different salary rules.

A soldier is a soldier who protects the border from terrorists and enemies. Under the Seventh Pay Commission, Army constables and Lance Nayaks get Rs 21,700 per month in cash. This means that the money goes to the soldiers' account. In addition, 20 to 20 percent of the salary.

Is there any difference between the salaries of firefighters and regular soldiers? No, there is no difference between the salaries of regular soldiers and firefighters. The salaries of firefighters are fixed for four years, while the salaries of regular soldiers under the Seventh Pay Commission are increased by three per cent per annum.

What is the difference between the two facilities after service? After four years of service, Agniveer will get a lump sum of Rs 11.71 lakh. Similarly, a retired soldier gets a lump sum as gratuity. Agniveer's canteen, medical facilities etc. will be closed after the service period.

Regular soldiers continue to get canteen, medical and other facilities even after retirement. Apart from this, a soldier also gets a lifetime pension after retirement. Which Agniveer will not get. But firefighters will get 10 per cent reservation in defense department jobs.
