Bengaluru: Counting of Karnataka assembly election results is underway. As of writing, the Congress party has won 118 seats and is leading in 18 seats. In this case, Congress won 136 seats out of 224 assembly seats in the state.

Siddaramaiah- Former Congress Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has won from Varuna Assembly seat. He has defeated V Somanna by a margin of more than 46 thousand votes.

CM Basavaraj Bommai- Congress Chief Minister CM Basavaraj Bommai is contesting from his assembly seat Shigaon. He has defeated Congress candidate Yasir Ahmad Khan Pathan by around 36 thousand votes.

Laxman Savadi - Congress leader Laxman Savadi has become the winner from Athani seat. He has defeated Mahesh Kumatalli of Bharatiya Janata Party by more than 59 thousand votes.
