COVID-19: Download Aarogya Setu app or be ready for jail or fine for not having app in your phone

The central government has extended the lockdown by two weeks to curb the spread of corona infection. Therefore, the lockdown will continue till May 17. Some concessions will be offered in the Orange and Green Zones during this period. The rules have been published by the Home Ministry.

Important tips have been given about the Aarogya Setu app that provides information about the coronavirus. All government and private sector employees will be required to download this app.

All government and private sector employees as well as all residents living in the containment zone will have to download the Arogya Setu app.

Earlier, it was made mandatory for central employees to download this app. Zomato has also instructed all food delivery staff to install the Arogya Setu app.

Not having the ''Aarogya Setu'' app on smartphones while out in a public place in Noida or Greater Noida will be considered a violation of the coronavirus-forced lockdown and attract punishment, according to new guidelines issued by the police.

Action will also be taken against people going outdoors without a face mask or spitting in public places, according to the police in Gautam Buddh Nagar in western Uttar Pradesh.
