COVID-19: Sikh man made 'Masks' from his own turban to distribute among the needy people

Meanwhile, a Sikh man did a very moving gesture by making masks for needy from his 11 new turbans.

According to the India Times, Sardar Amarjit Singh, a resident of Kanaid village in Sundernagar in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh made masks from his turban to help the needy.

There was a shortage of sanitizers and masks in the area during the Coronavirus crisis. All shops in the area were closed due to the lockdown. There was shortage of cloth to make the masks.

Therefore Amarjit Singh decided to cut his 11 new turbans and made masks out of it.

According to News18, Amarjit Singh made a thousand masks from his turbans. These masks were especially made for the poor, disabled and migrant workers, said Amarjit Singh.

Meanwhile, Amarjit Singh continues to buy new clothes and distribute masks to the people. He is also a volunteer for the Red Cross Society in the district.

On the other hand, Punjab Medium Industries Development Board (PMIDB) president Amarjit Singh Tikka has also handed over 350 PPE kits sanctioned by the government to Ludhiana police.
