Thiruvananthapuram, April 3 Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to light lamps on Sunday at 9 p.m. for 9 minutes to dispel the darkness caused by the coronavirus pandemic is a good act, as any display of brightness will always be welcomed.

Vijayan however said that following the lockdown lakhs of workers in Kerala employed in various sectors are finding the going tough and the 'brightness' in their lives has gone.

"Maybe, following the April 5th act, more 'brightness' might be on the way and let us all wait for the first 'brightness'," said Vijayan while addressing the media soon after the daily review of the Covid-19 measures in the state.
