Now there is a fear of the government in goons, says UP deputy CM Maurya

Gorakhpur, Dec 12 Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya says the state is changing for the better and so is Purvanchal. "Earlier, there was a fear of goons in the people, now there is a fear of the government in goons. This is the status of law and order in the state.

Chairing a National Webinar on Sustainable Development of Purvanchal at Gorakhpur University, Maurya said thanks to the improved law and order, better infrastructure and investment-friendly policies, Uttar Pradesh has jumped to second spot in ease of doing business. "Today, Uttar Pradesh is a preferred destination for investors."

"We will soon be connected to all the metros of the country through Purvanchal, Bundelkhand and Ganga Expressway if we talk about basic infrastructure. The entire world will be accessible through Green Field international airports such as Jewar, along with Kushinagar, Ayodhya international airport and other airports."

The deputy chief minister further said, "After coming to power, we've built 67 state highways. We are also building eco-friendly roads, herbal roads and roads made of recycled plastic and other wastes. To motivate the people, these roads will be named after martyrs, topper students and other celebrated achievers."
