TRS fields Keshav Rao, Suresh Reddy for Rajya Sabha polls

Telangana's ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Thursday announced the party nominees for the two Rajya Sabha seats from the state.

Hyderabad, March 12 Telangana's ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Thursday announced the party nominees for the two Rajya Sabha seats from the state.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao announced senior leader K. Keshav Rao and former Andhra Pradesh Assembly speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy as party's candidates for Rajya Sabha elections slated for March 26.

Keshav Rao, who is a sitting member of Rajya Sabha, has been re-nominated by the TRS chief

Suresh Reddy, who served as speaker of the Assembly in undivided Andhra Pradesh, had quit Congress party to join TRS in 2018.

The TRS candidates will file their nominations on Friday.

Both Keshav Rao and Suresh Reddy thanked Chandrashekhar Rao for deciding on their candidature. The CM congratulated both the party nominees.
