Sharad Pawar Health Update: NCP-SP Chief Discharged from Pune Hospital; Doctors Advice Rest

NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar was discharged on Wednesday morning, February 25, from Ruby Hospital in Pune. He was admitted on Sunday due to dehydration. Now, on the advice of senior doctors, he was discharged and headed to his Mumbai residence. However, the doctor advised taking a brief rest.

"He is doing well. He has been given discharge, and he has already left for Mumbai. He has been advised to take rest for the next couple of days before resuming his normal routine," said Dr Purvez Grant, the chief cardiologist, chairman and managing trustee of the private hospital.

Pawar received treatment at Ruby Hospital for two days. Doctors have recommended that he avoid strenuous activities and have arranged a follow-up medical check-up in 15 days to assess his recovery.

Giving an update on his treatment in two day, the hospital in its statement said, "We have advised him to rest for the next two to three days. He had a dehydration-related infection. We treated him and administered saline." He should take his regular medicines as per his routine and get adequate rest.
