While some viewers described the moment as a natural expression of love between the newlyweds, others criticised it, saying such public displays do not align with the traditional values associated with Hindu wedding rituals. The clip, reportedly filmed during a Bengali wedding ceremony, shows the bride and groom sharing an intimate kiss on stage in front of family members and guests. 

Even the whites do this quite respectfully when the pastor says “You may now kiss the bride”.
