Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge: Indian sports journalist and television anchor Sanjana Ganesan sparked laughter across social media after sharing a light-hearted Instagram story featuring her husband, cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, using a popular dialogue from the film “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (Dhurandhar 2). In the now-viral post, Ganesan shared a meme joking about Bumrah planning a boys’ night out. The caption read, “Every time Jasprit thinks about planning a boys’ night,” followed by the trending dialogue, “Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe, Jassi?”

The line, which translates roughly to “Don’t you miss home, Jassi?”, has recently gained traction online after being featured in a dramatic moment in the Bollywood blockbuster “Dhurandhar: The Revenge.” Delivered by a character named Pinda in the film, the dialogue has quickly become a meme template across social media platforms.

The viral moment comes amid growing uncertainty over Bumrah’s availability for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. According to the media reports, Bumrah has not yet joined the Mumbai Indians’ training camp and was recently at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. It remains unclear whether his visit is linked to an injury concern or a routine fitness assessment.

Bumrah was last seen in action during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 final in Ahmedabad, where he played a key role in India’s victory over New Zealand. He was named Player of the Match after taking four wickets and finished as one of the tournament’s leading wicket-takers.

His absence from recent team activities, including the BCCI’s annual awards function in New Delhi and the Mumbai Indians’ fan event, has raised concerns among fans about his fitness.

Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene had earlier indicated that players involved in the T20 World Cup would be given an extended break before joining IPL preparations. While several Indian players, including Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav, have already linked up with squad, Bumrah’s continued absence has drawn attention.

The BCCI has managed Bumrah’s workload carefully in recent years, allowing him to prioritize major international tournaments to maintain peak fitness.

Mumbai Indians are scheduled to open their IPL 2026 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium.
