Paris [France], May 25 : Defending French Open champion Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina find themselves in the same half of the draw, while Victoria Azarenka and Bianca Andreescu are scheduled to meet in a first-round matchup. French Open 2023 will be held from May 28 to June 11.
Iga Swiatek will face stern tests as she embarks on her French Open title defence.
13th seed Barbora Krejcikova, the 2021 champion who has previously defeated Swiatek, is her probable fourth-round opponent. No.4 Elena Rybakina, who has beaten Swiatek three times this year, has been drawn in the same half and might face him in the semifinals.
