The business provided employment opportunities for women in the region and helped preserve the traditional handicrafts of the Apat tribe."Through her business, Kamala not only empowered women economically but also helped them gain confidence and independence. Her business has provided employment opportunities for over 200 women, many of whom were previously unemployed or underemployed. She has worked with various orgzations to promote gender equality and to raise awareness about issues such as domestic violence and child marriage. Her efforts have helped bring these issues to the forefront of public discourse in Arunachal Pradesh.In recognition of her work, Kamala Linggi has received several awards and accolades.
