Aurangabad, July 16:Taking advantage of the lack of technical knowledge of the homeowner, a tenant duped the owner of lakhs of rupees through online transactions. Judicial magistrate first class A J Patil ordered the police to probe the matter and submit the report within two months.According to information, Ramesh Mishra lives in Satara area. As Mishra was not familiar with online transactions, he asked his tenant Manoj Fadke to order various items online. Fadke then started using his credit card, mobile and bank account for online transactions. Meanwhile, Mishra noticed a suspicious transaction of Rs 1.59 lakh in his account. Mishra then lodged a complaint in the cyber cell after realizing that Phadke had diverted Rs 1.59 lakh to his own account. Phadke also bought a tablet from a loan in Mishra's name by forging documents. He opened a demat account and bought shares online and again took a loan of Rs 4.25 lakh and transferred Rs 2.33 lakh to his account. The cyber police then transferred the case to the Satara police station. When called to the police station, Phadke confessed to the crime. However, instead of filing a case against Phadke, Mishra agreed to not file a case after receiving a written letter from Phadke assuring to return the money. But taking advantage, Phadke fled thereafter. Mishra then lodged a complaint with the commissioner of police. However, as the police did not take action, he filed a criminal petition in the court through adv Ramnath Chobhe. After the hearing, magistrate Patil gave the above orders.
