Aurangabad, June 21:"The topic of Ph D research should focus on local and social needs, national importance and international relevance,” said Dr Pramod Yeole, vice-chancellor of Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU).He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of an online Pre-Ph D Coursework-2021 for researchers in Engineering and Pharmacy, Fine Chemicals subjects being held at UGC-Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) of BAMU on Wednesday.VC Dr Pramod Yeole said searching a topic for Ph D is a skill and the researcher should see the past research, the present trends and future demand of a particular topic.The VC advised researchers to learn the drafting of a thesis and different types of research. He also highlighted the changes in higher education due to Covid-19 pandemic and the new education policy.Dean Dr Bhalchandra Waykar, Dr N N Bandela (director, UGC-HRDC) delivered the addresses. Assistant Director of HRDC Dr Mohammed Abdul Raffey conducted the proceedings. A total of 259 researchers are participating in the coursework. Dr Sachin Bhusari is the coordinator of the event.
