The ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has begun to impact the tourism sector, raising concerns over the return of travellers who had gone abroad for leisure. With flight operations disrupted and several departures cancelled at key airports, nearly 150 tourists from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar are reportedly stranded in Dubai, according to the Travel Agents’ Association. There is also a possibility that some passengers are stuck at airports in other countries

The situation has also affected foreign tourists visiting the city. Twenty-two tourists from Romania, who were scheduled to return via Doha, are now facing uncertainty after the Doha airport was closed. Tourism bodies and travel agents are working to arrange alternative travel plans. Sudden changes in global aviation operations have posed significant challenges for both travellers and tourism stakeholders. Travel agencies, tourism organisations and concerned authorities are coordinating efforts to ensure the safe return of stranded passengers.
