150 students participate in continuous 18-hour reading campaign

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A continuous 18-hour reading initiative was organised at the Knowledge Resource Centre (Library) of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on Sunday.
More than 150 students participated in this initiative. The programme was conducted as part of the birth anniversary celebration of Dr Ambedkar, conceived by Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari. The campaign commenced at the KRC at 6 AM onwards on April 12. Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar inaugurated the initiative.
KRC Director Dr Vaishali Khaparde, Student Development Board Director Dr Kailas Ambhure, Deputy Librarian Dr Satish Padme and Dr Vilas Ippar were prominently present.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, as well as students preparing for competitive examinations, were also present. A significant number of students from within the university campus participated in this campaign.
The KRC staff members, Dr Lasha Kamdi, Dr Yogesh Surwade, Datta Gavali, Subhash Lokhande, Sartaj Shaikh, Rehan Shaikh, and others, made efforts to make this initiative successful.
A book exhibition is being organised in the library from April 7 to 14. Director Dr Vaishali Khaparde has appealed to everyone to take advantage of the continuous reading campaign and the exhibition.
