Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Two motorcycles going from Bhadkal Gate towards the Government Cancer Hospital while returning from Karnapura fair died as their speeding motorcycle dashed to the safety wall of the Town Hall Flyover on Monday at around 1 am. The deceased have been identified as Anand Vasant Shinde (30) and Rahul Vishwanath Sathe (35, both residents of Shatabdinagar).

Anand and Rahul were friends and had gone to the Karnapura fair on Sunday. While returning their motorcycle dashed the flyover wall. The accident was so severe that the motorcycle was thrown to one side and the motorcyclists on the other. Both of them fell on the head on the road and died on the spot, the witnesses said. The nearby residents rushed to the spot and took both to the Government Medical College and Hospital in an auto-rickshaw. A case has been registered with the Begumpura police station.
