Aurangabad, Dec 26:

The city police nabbed two hardcore criminals after a chase at Nagar Naka on Saturday afternoon.

Arrested accused have been identified as Mohammed Mustafa (28, Jahangir Colony of Harsul) his accomplice Shaikh Urooj of Rashidpura (18). Police have also seized their car (MH-04-BQ-4329) and two swords from the car.

Cantonment police station PI, Manoj Pagare said that the as many as 28 offences are registered Shaikh Mustafa in various police stations.

Waluj traffic PSI Taher Patel said while we were on duy at Nagar Naka we found a car coming from a wrong direction. We tried to stop the car but tried to run over us and escaped speedily.

The alert officers soon called the traffic control room and informed about the speeding car. Cantonment traffic police were informed and the police team chased and stopped the car at Nagar Naka. The accused tried to run away from the scene but the police nabbed both the accused. The police have seized the car and two swords from them. A case has been registered at the Cantonment police station on the complaint lodged by police constable Abdul Naser Wadajkar.
