Aurangabad, Nov 25:

The Waluj MIDC police arrested two thieves, who stole articles from two companies from the Waluj industrial area and seized articles worth Rs 4.63 lakh, including a motorcycle used in the crime.

Some unidentified thieves entered the Digvijay Industries in the Waluj MIDC area on October 14 through the window and stole 20 copper wire bundles. Vijaykumar Jain lodged a complaint in this regard at the Waluj MIDC police station.

Another theft was reported at Set On Site Electricals Company between November 5 and 17. The thieves stole three copper wire bundles weighing 180 kgs and amounting to around Rs 90,000.

PI, Madhukar Sawant started the investigation and found two suspects captured in the company''s CCTV cameras. A team comprising API, Gautam Wawale, head constable Quyyum Pathan, Prakash Gaikwad, Revnath Gawale, Sudhir Sonawane, Nawab Shaikh, Vinod Pardeshi, Harikram Waghal, Deepak Matlabe and others arrested the two thieves Aslam Babu Pathan (30, Bharatnagar, Waluj) and Shaikh Dawoos Hanif 923, Ajwanagar, Waluj). During interrogation, both of them confessed the thefts at two companies. They said that they sold the articles to a scrap vendor. The police seized 22 bundles of copper wires, 7 coils and a motorcycle, all amounting Rs 4,63,573 from them.
